Maya Kallio
Founder & CEO
Maya has always followed her heart across borders — leaving Finland as a young woman, finding herself over more than a decade in Berlin, and for the last 20 years making Spain truly home. She founded OceanHome and still leads it as CEO, but what she loves most is the human side: getting to know each person who walks through the door and making sure that finding a home here feels warm and personal, never just a transaction. Now she’s chasing a new horizon, opening OceanHome’s international chapter with her heart set on Bali and the wider Asian market.
Marco Elsinger
Co-Founder & Property Advisor
German by heritage but Spanish through and through, Marco has spent his whole life in Spain — from Ibiza and Mallorca to the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca — and that deep, lived-in feel for the country shapes the way he looks after every client. His real home turf is the legal and technical side of property: contracts, permits, licences and the careful due diligence that makes a purchase safe and watertight. He handles viewings and negotiations himself, and he’s the steady, straight-talking presence who makes sure nothing about your purchase is ever left to chance.
Nea Randelin
Exclusives & Listings Responsible
Nea quite literally grew up in this business. She’s Maya’s daughter, and she’s been part of OceanHome since she was four years old — spending every summer working alongside the team and soaking up the ins and outs of property the way only someone raised in it can. Today she looks after our exclusive listings and vendor relationships, and it’s been a joy to watch her grow from the little girl tagging along on viewings into a confident young woman coming into her own as a leader.
Aino-Kaisa Lonka
Property Advisor & Office Manager
Aino-Kaisa is the eye behind OceanHome. When it’s time to bring a property to market, she’s the one capturing it through her lens and styling every room so it looks its absolute best — the kind of photos that help a home sell quickly and beautifully. Away from the camera she keeps the office running, looks after services like telecoms, oversees our rental side, and happily steps in to host the occasional viewing. Warm, endlessly versatile and obsessed with the little details, she’s a big part of the heart that holds OceanHome together.
Our Story
From a one-woman consultancy to a full-service property company
OceanHome started in 2004 when Maya Kallio began helping Finnish and Swedish families navigate the Spanish property market. What started as informal advice over coffee turned into a steady stream of referrals — buyers who needed someone they could trust, who spoke their language, and who actually lived here.
In 2018, Maya partnered with Marco Elsinger — a German-Spanish property advisor who had grown up on the Costa Blanca and knew every street, every notary, and every developer in the region. Together they formally launched OceanHome from a small office on Avenida Alfredo Nobel in Torrevieja.
The philosophy was simple: transparent fees, honest advice, and no high-pressure sales tactics. If a property wasn't right, they'd say so. If a deal had red flags, they'd walk away. That approach earned trust — and the business grew entirely through word of mouth and repeat clients.
Today the team has grown to include Nea Randelin (listings and vendor relations) and Aino-Kaisa Lonka (art direction and operations). OceanHome covers 29 towns across the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol, offering property sales, new builds, holiday rentals and long-term lettings — all from the same office, the same team, and the same no-nonsense approach that started it all.

2018
OceanHome Is Born
Maya and Marco formally launch OceanHome from Torrevieja with a focus on transparent fees, multilingual service, and proper property management.
2020
Rental Division
Licensed holiday rental management added. Professional photography, dynamic pricing and Stripe-powered booking system go live.
2022
Team Expands
Nea joins to run listings and vendor relations. Aino-Kaisa takes over art direction and office operations. Coverage expands to 12 towns.

New Build Partnerships
