About Pilar de la Horadada

Pilar de la Horadada closes the Costa Blanca at the Murcia border. The town centre, Zona Pueblo, is a working Spanish town 3 km from the sea, while the coast belongs to Torre de la Horadada, named for its 16th-century watchtower and grouped around a small marina, and Mil Palmeras, a low-rise beach district under pine trees. Lo Romero Golf and the forest trails of Pinar de Campoverde sit just inland.

The area has become the value engine of the southern Costa Blanca: 9 in 10 of our current listings here are priced under €500,000, and modern bungalow rows make up about half the stock. The buyer mix is Spanish, Scandinavian and Belgian, and daily life runs year-round rather than shutting with the season.

Things to Do

🗼
Torre de la Horadada Seafront
The 16th-century watchtower gives the coastal village its name. Walk from the marina past sandy coves to Playa El Conde, with chiringuitos open through the long season.
🏖️
Mil Palmeras
A wide, family-oriented sandy beach backed by pines and low apartment rows, quieter than anything in Torrevieja or La Zenia. The beach bars stay busy from spring to autumn.
⛳
Lo Romero Golf
An 18-hole course 10 minutes inland with a signature island green on the 18th. Green fees run well below the famous Orihuela Costa courses.
🌲
Pinar de Campoverde
Pine-forest walking and cycling country along the Río Seco canyon, 10 minutes from the beach. The residential village there has its own shops and restaurants.
