Mijas Pueblo is one of Andalusia’s most enchanting white villages, clinging to the mountainside at 430 metres above sea level with breathtaking panoramic views stretching across the entire Costa del Sol to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco on clear days.

The village has carefully preserved its traditional Andalusian character — whitewashed houses with terracotta roofs, narrow cobblestone streets draped in bougainvillea, and small plazas where locals still gather over coffee. While tourism is important, Mijas has avoided becoming a theme park, maintaining its authentic village life alongside the artisan shops and restaurants.

Mijas is famous for its miniature bullring (one of the few oval-shaped rings in Spain), its ermita shrine carved into the rock, and its colony of artists and craftspeople whose workshops line the old town streets. The views from the Mirador de la Muralla are among the most photographed on the Costa del Sol.
